The British merchant River Afton is torpedoed and sunk north-east of Kola in position 75º57'N, 43º00'E by the German submarine U-703. HMS Lotus (Lt. H.J. Hall, RNR) later picks up 38 survivors.

12 Nov 1942
The German submarine U-660 was scuttled in the Mediterranean near Oran, in position 36º07'N, 01º00'W, after damages by depth charges from the British corvettes HMS Lotus (Lt.Cdr. H.J. Hall, DSC, RNR) and HMS Starwort (Lt. A.H. Kent, RNR).

The German submarine U-671 was sunk at 0200hrs on 5 Aug 1944 in the English Channel south of Brighton, in position 50º23'N, 00º06'E, by depth charges from the British frigate HMS Stayner (Lt.Cdr. H.J. Hall, DSO, DSC, RNR) and the British escort destroyer HMS Wensleydale (A/Lt.Cdr. W.P. Goodfellow, RNVR).
