The German submarine U-756 was sunk in the North Atlantic about 440 nautical miles west-south-west of Cape Farewell in position 57º41'N, 31º30'W, by the Canadian corvette HMCS Morden (T/Lt. J.J. Hodgkinson, RCNR).
12 May 1943
HMCS Morden (T/Lt. J.J. Hodgkinson, RCNR) picks up 40 survivors from the Norwegian merchant Brand that was torpedoed and sunk in the North Atlantic in position 47º19'N, 24º41'W by the German submarine U-603.
