16 Apr 1942
HMS Lord Middleton (T/Lt. R.H. Jameson, RNR) picks up 9 survivors from the British merchant Empire Howard that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-403 north-west of North Cape in position 73º48'N, 21º50'E.

1 May 1942
The Soviet merchant Tsiolkovskij that was torpedoed and damaged by the German submarine U-589 in the Arctic Sea in position 71º46'N, 34º30'E. The damaged Soviet ship was later sunk by the German destroyers Z-24 and Z-25. HMS Lord Middleton (T/Lt. R.H. Jameson, RNR) later picked up 14 survivors.


Corvette HMS Linaria (K 282)


27 Oct 1944
HMS Linaria (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Jameson, RNR) picks up 31 survivors off Europa Island in the Mozambique Channel. These survivors were from the British merchant Radbury that was torpedoed and sunk on 13 August 1944 west of Madagascar in position 24º20'S, 41º45'E by the German submarine U-862.

On 17 September 1945 HMS Bann spent one day in the Selborne dry dock at Simonstown, South Africa for repairs.
