About 150 nautical miles off Ushant, HMS Versatile (Cdr. J.H. Jauncey, RN (retired)) picks up 13 survivors from the British special service vessel HMS Prunella.
The Prunella has been torpedoed and sunk on 21 June 1940 by the German submarine U-28 in approximate position 49º20'N, 08º40'W.

Damaged by a mine off Anzio during amphibious assault. Palomares had to be towed to Naples.
