Corvette HMS Campanula (K 18)

HMS Campanula (Lt.Cdr. B.A. Rogers, RD, RNR) and HMS Mignonette (Lt H.H. Brown, RNR) together pick up the 37 survivors from the British merchant Afrika that was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-402 in the North Atlantic in position 55º16'N, 26º31'W.

The German submarine U-327 was sunk in the west part of the Channel, in position 49º46'N, 05º47'W, by depth charges from the British frigates HMS Labuan (T/A/Lt.Cdr. V.D.H. Bidwell, DSC, RNR) and HMS Loch Fada (Cdr. B.A. Rogers, RD, RNR) and the British sloop HMS Wild Goose (Cdr. D.E.G. Wemyss, DSO, DSC and Bar, RN).

The German submarine U-1018 was sunk in the Channel south of Penzance, in position 49º56'N, 05º20'W, by depth charges (Squid) from the British frigate HMS Loch Fada (Cdr. B.A. Rogers, RD, RNR). Two survivors were picked up by the frigate.
