The German submarine U-365 was sunk in the Arctic Ocean east of Jan Mayen, in position 70º43'N, 08º07'E, by depth charges from 2 Swordfish aircraft (Sqdn. 813/L/Q) from the British escort carrier HMS Campania (A/Capt. K.A. Short, RN).
