HMS Dahlia (Lt. G.V. Ward, RNR) picks up 68 survivors from the American merchant Black Hawk that was torpedoed and heavily damaged (CTL) by the German submarine U-322 southeast of the Portland Bill Lighthouse in position 50º28'N, 02º28'W.
