USS Shark (ii) (Cdr. Edward Noe Blakely) torpedoed and sank the Japanese troop transport Chiyo Maru No.2 (4700 GRT) about 600 nautical miles north-west of Saipan in position 21°00'N, 140°20'E.

4 Jun 1944 (position 19.45, 138.15)
USS Shark (ii) (Cdr. E.N. Blakely) torpedoed and sank the Japanese troop transport Katsukawa Maru (6886 GRT) about 475 nautical miles north-west of Saipan in position 19°45'N, 138°15'E.

5 Jun 1944 (position 17.37, 140.32)
USS Shark (ii) (Cdr. E.N. Blakely) torpedoed and sank the Japanese army cargo ship Tamahime Maru (3080 GRT) and the Japanese troop transport Takaoka Maru (7006 GRT) west of the Marianas in position 17°37'N, 140°32'E.
