USS Pogy (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Metcalf) torpedoes and sinks the Japanese collier Soyo Maru (6081 GRT) north of Truk in position 14º03'N, 152º20'E.

13 Dec 1943
USS Pogy (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Metcalf) torpedoes and damages the Japanese army cargo ship Fukkai Maru (3829 GRT) off the Palau Islands in position 07º06'N, 134º30'E. Pogy is damaged by depth charges and forced to terminate her patrol.

USS Pogy (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Metcalf) torpedoes and sinks the Japanese cable layer Nanyo Maru (3614 GRT) about 100 nautical miles east of Formosa in position 24º12'N, 123º20'E, and the Japanese merchant cargo ship Taijin Maru (5154 GRT) north-east of Formosa in position 24º14'N, 123º17'E.

While attacking a Japanese convoy some 60 miles west of Okinawa USS Pogy (Lt.Cdr. R.M. Metcalf) torpedoes and sinks the Japanese merchant cargo ship Horei Maru (5588 GRT) in position 26º20'N, 126º11'E and torpedoes and damages the Japanese merchant tanker Teikon Maru (5113 GRT) in position 26º22'N, 126º16'E.
