McGregor, DSO, RN), HMS Whirlwind (Cdr. W.A.F. Hawkins, DSO, DSC, OBE, RN), HMS Ursa (Cdr. D.B. Wyburd, DSC, RN) and HMS Quadrant (Lt.Cdr. P.C. Hopkins, RN) departed Leyte (San Pedro Bay) for Subic Bay where they arrived the following day minus HMS Venerable and HMS Quadrant which arrived on the 25th after first having conducted exercises.
