HMS Akita (Chief Skipper W.A. Watson, DSC, RNR) picks up 2 survivors from the British merchant Cato that was sunk, 2.5 nautical miles west of Nash Point in the Bristol Channel in position 51º24'N, 03º37'W, after hitting a mine laid the previous day by the German submarine U-29
