HMCS Trillium (Lt. P.C. Evans, RCNR) picks up 58 survivors from the American merchant Chattanooga City that was torpedoed and sunk the previous day by the German submarine U-606 in the North Atlantic in position 46º53'N, 34º32'W.

HMCS Trillium also picks up 53 survivors from the American merchant Expositor that was torpedoed and heavily damaged the previous day by the German submarine U-606 in the North Atlantic in position 46º53'N, 34º32'W.
