Notes on loss At 19.15 hours on 13 Dec, 1939, the Mina was hit in the stern by one torpedo from U-57 off Cross Sand and broke in two. The stern part sank immediately and the fore part within 30 seconds. The ship had been missed by a first torpedo at 19.03 hours.
