| Notes on loss | At 08.30 hours on 5 May, 1942, the unescorted Stanbank (Master George Albert Niddrie) was hit in the foreship by one torpedo from U-103 and sank quickly northeast of Bermuda. Seven crew members and two gunners were lost. The master, 34 crew members and four gunners were picked up after 10 days by Rhexenor and landed at Bermuda. | ||
