| Notes on loss | At 07.30 hours on 22 May 1942, U-753 stopped the sailing vessel E.P. Theriault with gunfire and placed demolition charges on board. The vessel was heavily damaged but did not sink. The wreck was sold to Cuba, repaired and returned to service as Ofelia Gancedo for B.P. Gancedo, Havana. | ||
