| Notes on loss | At 07.50 hours on 29 Jun, 1942, the unescorted Empire Mica (Master Hugh Gordon Bradford Bentley) was torpedoed and sunk by U-67 in the Gulf of Mexico southwest of Cape St.George, Florida. 33 crew members were lost. The master, seven crew members and six gunners were picked up by a US Coast Guard cutter and landed at Panama City. | ||
