| Notes on loss | At 17.44 hours on 1 Jul, 1942, the unescorted Cadmus (Master Alfred Stenersen) was torpedoed and sunk by U-129 in the Gulf of Mexico. Two men were killed on board and the remaining 20 crewmen reached the coast of Mexico between Tampico and Vera Cruz after five days. | ||
