Notes on loss At 10.19 hours on 29 Jul, 1942, the unescorted Prescodoc (Master John Charles Prowse) was torpedoed and sunk by U-160 northwest of Georgetown, British Guiana. 15 crew members were lost. The master and five crew members were picked up by Predsednik Kopajtic and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad.
