History Completed in November 1909 as Flora for Det Forenede D/S (DFDS), Copenhagen. 1940 seized by Britain and renamed Flora II by the Ministry of War Transport (MoWT). 
Notes on loss At 09.27 hours on 2 Aug, 1942, the unescorted Flora II (Master Peter Kristjan Johanes Nielsen) was torpedoed and sunk by U-254 60 miles southeast of Vestmannaeyar, Iceland. The master, 24 crew members, four gunners and one passenger were picked up by the Icelandic trawler Juni and landed at Reykjavik.
