History Completed in October 1919 
Notes on loss At 20.59 hours on 5 Nov, 1942, the New Toronto (Master Claude James Kewley), dispersed from convoy TS-23, was hit by one of two torpedoes from U-126 and stopped southeast of Kotonu. The ship sank after being hit by two coups de grāce at 21.17 and 21.54 hours. Three crew members and one cattleman were lost. The master, 50 crew members, six gunners, 28 cattlemen and 17 Kroomen were picked up by the British motor launch HMS ML-263
