Notes on loss At 07.43 hours on 9 Nov, 1942, the unescorted Nurmahal (Master W.R. Gordon) was hit by two torpedoes from U-154 about 300 miles east of Martinique and finally sank on 11 November. 14 crew members were lost, while the master and an unknown number of survivors were rescued.
