| Notes on loss | At 08.01 hours on 11 Nov, 1942, the unescorted City of Ripon (Master John Edward Robinson) was torpedoed and sunk by U-160 90 miles northwest of Georgetown, British Guiana. 52 crew members and four gunners were lost. The master, 18 crew members and three gunners were picked up by the Brazilian merchant Midosi and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad. | ||
