History Completed in July 1911 as Norwegian Vard for D/S Vard A/S (A. Jacobsen), Kristiania. 1915 sold to Sweden and renamed Siljan for Rederi-A/B Transatlantic (G. Carlsson). 1930 transferred to Rederi-A/B Rex (K.M. Källström) and renamed Dalarö
Notes on loss At 09.35 hours on 12 Feb, 1940, the neutral Dalarö was torpedoed and sunk by U-53 west of Scotland. The master was lost. The survivors were picked up by the Belgian trawler Jan de Waele and landed at Buncrana, Loch Swilly.
