History Completed in May 1938 as Robur VIII for Polskarob Polsko-Skandynawskie Towarzystwo Transportowe SA, Gdynia. 1940 renamed Zagloba for A. Falter (William Cory & Son Ltd), Gdynia.
Notes on loss Between 22.55 and 23.05 hours on 6 Feb, 1943, U-262 fired five torpedoes at a tanker and a steamer, heard three detonations and claimed both ships sunk. However, there is no confirmation from Allied sources, but it is likely that Zagloba (Master Zbigniew Deyczakowski) was hit and sunk in these attacks. The ship was straggling from the convoy SC-118 since the afternoon of 5 February in position 53°N/33°10W.
