History Laid down as Jamaica Perseverance, completed in June 1934 as Jamaica Producer.

Broken up at Barrow in May 1962.

 
Notes on loss At 02.15 hours on 11 Mar, 1943, U-590 fired torpedoes at the convoy HX-228 and observed two hits on a steamer and reported that the ship sank within one minute. In fact, the Jamaica Producer was only damaged and managed to reach port. The ship was repaired and returned to service in May 1943.
