Notes on loss In the night of 27/28 Jul, 1943, the unescorted Rosalia was hit by two torpedoes from U-615 and sank in flames about 10 miles south of Curaçao. The survivors were picked up by the Dutch submarine chaser HNMS H-8 and the rescue boat MBR-50
