| Notes on loss | At 00.30 hours on 4 Aug, 1943, the unescorted Dalfram (Master David H. Hogg) was torpedoed and sunk by U-181 east of Madagascar. Three crew members were lost. The master, 34 crew members and five gunners landed after eight days on the island of Ile Ste Marie, east of Madagascar. | ||
