History In December 1942, the HMS Obdurate (G 39) was escorting convoy JW-51B which was attacked by the German heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper
Notes on loss At 18.33 hours on 25 Jan, 1944, the HMS Obdurate (G 39) was damaged by a Gnat from U-360 while escorting the convoy JW-56A to North Russia. The U-boat missed the damaged destroyer with a coup de grâce at 18.44 hours.
