| Notes on loss | At 13.40 hours on 22 May 1941, the Barnby (Master Arthur John Gale), dispersed from convoy HX-126, was torpedoed and sunk by U-111 southwest of Iceland. One crew member was lost. The master, 35 crew members and eight gunners landed at Reykjavik. | ||
