| Notes on loss | At 09.57 hours on 10 Sep, 1941, the Empire Hudson (Master John Campbell Cooke) in convoy SC-42 was torpedoed and sunk by U-82 northeast of Cape Farewell. Four crew members were lost. The master, 47 crew members, six gunners and nine RAF personnel were picked up by the British merchant Baron Ramsay and the Norwegian merchant Regin and landed at Loch Ewe. | ||
