| Notes on loss | At 07.44 hours on 25 Sep, 1941, the Empire Stream (Master Stanley Herbert Evans) in convoy HG-73 was torpedoed and sunk by U-124 north-northeast of the Azores. Four crew members, two gunners and two stowaways were lost. The master, 24 crew members and two gunners were picked up by the British corvette HMS Begonia (K 66) (LtCdr H.B. Phillips) and landed at Milford Haven. | ||
