Notes on loss

At 22.03 hours on 21 Oct, 1941, the Serbino (Master Lawrence Edwin Brooks) in convoy SL-89 was hit amidships by one torpedo from U-82 and sank west of Fastnet. 14 crew members were lost. The master and 50 crew members were picked up by HMS Asphodel (K 56) (LtCdr K.W. Stewart, RN (retired)) and landed at Gourock.
