| Notes on loss | At 13.20 hours on 3 Dec, 1939, the Ove Toft was hit amidships by one torpedo from U-31 and sank within four minutes about 100 miles east of the Tyne. The ship had been spotted at 12.55 hours, identified and was attacked because her course was suspicious. | ||
