| Notes on loss | At 22.50 hours on 17 April, the U-boat reported an unidentified sailing vessel of 80 tons damaged by gunfire in grid CP 5953. At 04.45 hours on 22 Apr, 1942, U-81 shelled and sank two sailing vessels off Palestine. One of them was the El Saadiah and the other could not be identified. | ||
