| Notes on loss | At 08.54 hours on 17 Nov, 1942, the unescorted City of Corinth (Master George Johnston Law) was torpedoed by U-508 north of Trinidad. The vessel foundered later in 10°52´30N/61°03´30W. 11 crew members were lost. The master, 69 crew members and six gunners were picked up by the American submarine chaser USS PC-536 and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad. | ||
