Completed October 1942 for US War Shipping Administration (WSA), lend-leased on bareboat charter to British Ministry of War Transport (MoWT).

1947 returned to US and transferred to US Maritime Commission (USMC). 1948 sold to Persia and renamed Iran, 1953 renamed Panamanian Hassan, 1954 renamed Panamanian Tiha, 1962 renamed British St. Dunston for Saint Line Ltd, London; 1962 sold to Hong Kong and renamed Bename, 1967 broken up at Kaohsiung. 

Notes on loss At 15.20 hours on 6 Mar, 1943, U-410 attacked the convoy KMS-10 west of Gibraltar and reported two ships damaged and one possible hit on a third ship. In fact, the Fort Battle River was sunk and the Fort Paskoyac was damaged.
