| Notes on loss | At 04.27 hours on 20 Mar, 1943, the unescorted Mariso (Master H.A. Broere) was torpedoed by U-518 about 90 miles off Bahia and sank after two coups de grāce hit at 04.38 and 05.10 hours. Two men were taken prisoner by the U-boat. | ||
