| Notes on loss | About 10.20 hours on 15 Jul, 1943, U-135 fired three G7e torpedoes from two bow and one stern tubes at the convoy OS-51 and heard one hit by the stern torpedo. Immediately after the attack the U-boat was located by the escorts and sunk after two hours. The ship hit was the Twickenham which arrived at Dakar on 31 July, where the cargo was unloaded. After temporary repairs she returned to the UK on 21 October. | ||
