| Notes on loss | At 18.59 hours on 5 Apr, 1945, the Gasray (Master R.E. Baker) was torpedoed and sunk by U-2321 two miles north of St.Abbs Head. The master, 11 crew members and four gunners were rescued, six by the St.Abbs Lifeboat and ten by the British coaster Clova and landed at St.Abbs. Six crew members and two gunners were lost. | ||
