History Commissioned in April 1942 as submarine chaser USS PC-482 in the US Navy and used as convoy escort in the Carribean. On 15 Jul, 1944, transferred to the Free French Navy at Casablanca, Morocco, reclassified as corvette and renamed FFL LŽEnjoue (W 44)
Notes on loss At 17.15 hours on 9 Jan, 1945, FFL LŽEnjoue (W 44) was hit by a Gnat from U-870 while escorting the convoy GC-107 and sank off Cape Spartel.
