Notable events involving LCI(L)-380 include:
380 was the first craft to land on the Queen Red Sector of Sword Beach Normandy 7,25am.6th June 1944. Suffered a Direct hit running into beach. Shell entered on port side =blew out on waterlinee on starboard took approx 5 hours to effect repairs and put to sea.after attempting (unsuccesfully) to transfer wounded to a larger ship for medical attention we arrived back in Newhaven Harbour. Repairs carried out throughout Tuesday nigh and Wednesday. Cleaned up reloaded with Infantry men and back on the beach Thursday morning (1)
