USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. L.P. Ramage) torpedoed and sank the Japanese merchant cargo ships Shoryu Maru (6475 GRT) and Taiyoku Maru (5244 GRT) west of Luzon Strait in position 20°48'N, 118°03'E.

17 Jun 1944
USS Parche (Cdr. L.P. Ramage) departed from Midway for her 2nd war patrol. Once again she was ordered to patrol in Luzon Strait.

24 Jun 1944
USS Parche (Cdr. L.P. Ramage) sank a Japanese guard boat with gunfire in the North Pacific Ocean in position 30°14'N, 152°33'E.

29 Jul 1944
While operating near the Bashi Channel off the north-west coast of Luzon USS Parche (Cdr. L.P. Ramage) torpedoed and sank the Japanese Army cargo ship Manko Maru (4471 GRT) in position 19°08'N, 120°51'E, the Japanese merchant tanker Koei Maru (10238 GRT) in position 19°00'N, 122°55'E, and torpedoed and damaged the Japanese merchant tanker Ogura Maru No.1 (7270 GRT) in position 19°10'N, 120°58'E, and the Japanese army cargo ship Fuso Maru (8195 GRT). Parche also teams up with USS Steelhead to sink the Japanese army cargo ship Yoshino Maru (8990 GRT) in position 19°05'N, 120°50'E.

USS Parche (Cdr. L.P. Ramage) called at Saipan. She departed from bound for Pearl Harbor the next day.

16 Aug 1944
USS Parche (Cdr. L.P. Ramage) ended her 2nd war patrol at Pearl Harbor.

10 Sep 1944
USS Parche (Cdr. L.P. Ramage) departed from Pearl Harbor for her 3rd war patrol. She was ordered to patrol in the Philippines and in Luzon Strait.

USS Sailfish (T/Cdr. R.E.M. Ward, USN) and USS Parche (T/Cdr. L.P. Ramage, USN) were both ordered to leave patrol and to proceed to Saipan. (1)

Around 0600I/24, in position 14°40'N, 144°40'E, USS Sailfish (T/Cdr. R.E.M. Ward, USN), USS Barbel (T/Cdr. R.A. Keating, Jr., USN) and USS Parche (T/Cdr. L.P. Ramage, USN) all made rendezvous with their escort to Saipan, USS PGM-9 (Lt. C. Morgan, USNR).

The submarines arrived at Saipan around 1045I/24. (2)

From 25 to 27 October 1944, USS Sailfish (T/Cdr. R.E.M. Ward, USN) and USS Parche (T/Cdr. L.P. Ramage, USN) underwent repairs alongside USS Fulton (T/Capt. A.A. Clarkson, USN) before they were to resume their patrols. (2)

28 Oct 1944
USS Sailfish (T/Cdr. R.E.M. Ward, USN), USS Parche (T/Cdr. L.P. Ramage, USN) and USS Pomfret (T/Lt.Cdr. J.B. Hess, USN) departed Saipan to operate as a coordinated attack group (Senior Officer T/Cdr. Ramage). USS Sailfish and USS Parche were to resume their patrols. For USS Parche this was her 3rd war patrol. They were ordered to patrol in the Luzon Strait.

On departure from Saipan, around 1200I/28, they were escorted until around 1700I/28 by USS Conklin (Lt.Cdr. E.L. McGibbon, USNR).

Around 1400I/28, USS Sailfish however had to return to Saipan due to defects. Repairs were then made with the assistance of USS Fulton (T/Capt. A.A. Clarkson, USN). (3)

11 Dec 1944

30 Dec 1944
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) departed from Pearl Harbor for her 4th war patrol. She was ordered to patrol off the Ryukyu Islands.

7 Feb 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) torpedoed and sank the Japanese army cargo ship Okinoyama Maru (984 GRT) off the Ryukyu Islands in position 29°09'N, 129°45'E.

20 Feb 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) ended her 4th war patrol at Pearl Harbor.

19 Mar 1945
Around 1400VW/19, USS Lionfish (T/Lt.Cdr. E.D. Spruance, USN), USS Parche (T/Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory, USN) and USS Trutta (T/Cdr. A.C. Smith, USN) departed from Pearl Harbor for their 1st, 5th and 1st war patrols respectively. All were to proceed to Saipan to top off with fuel and provisions before proceeding to their patrol area. They were escorted until around 2045VW/19 by USS PC-580 (Lt. A.L. Anderson, USNR).

All were originally ordered to patrol as a coordinated attack group in the Yellow Sea but soon after depature from Saipan orders were changed as follows;

USS Lionfish was ordered to patrol south of Bongo Suido. Later she was ordered to patrol in the East China and Yellow Seas.

USS Parche was ordered to patrol in Japanese home waters east of Honshu and Hokkaido.

USS Trutta was ordered to patrol in the East China and Yellow Seas.

30 Mar 1945
At 0530K/30, USS Lionfish (T/Lt.Cdr. E.D. Spruance, USN), USS Parche (T/Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory, USN) and USS Trutta (T/Cdr. A.C. Smith, USN) made rendezvous with USS LCI(L)-1062 (Lt.(jg) J.M. Burns, Jr., USNR) which then escorted them to Saipan where they arrived around 1230K/30. The submarines were then taken in hand for voyage repairs by USS Fulton (T/Capt. A.A. Clarkson, USN).

9 Apr 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) torpedoed and sank the Japanese minesweeper W 3 (615 tons, offsite link) northeast of Sendai, Honshu, Japan in position 39°07'N, 141°57'E.

11 Apr 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) torpedoed and sank the Japanese auxiliary minesweeper Togo Maru (302 GRT) off Todogasaki, Honshu, Japan in position 38°53'N, 142°05'E.

13 Apr 1945
While operating near Todogasaki, USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) sank the Japanese auxiliary minesweeper Misago Maru No.1 (265 GRT) with gunfire in position 38°36'N, 141°41'E and the Japanese guard boat Kosho Maru (302 GRT) also with gunfire in position 38°27'N, 142°13'E.

30 Apr 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) ended her 5th war patrol at Midway.

25 May 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) departed from Midway for her 6th war patrol. She was ordered to patrol south and east of Honshu, Japan.

21 Jun 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) torpedoed and sank the Japanese merchant cargo ship Hizen Maru (947 GRT) off the east coast of Honshu, Japan in position 41°19'N, 141°28'E.

22 Jun 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) sank two small Japanese vessels with gunfire off Tsugaru Strait in position 42°10'N, 140°56'E.

23 Jun 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) sank three small Japanese fishing vessels with gunfire off Tsugaru Strait in position 41°54'N, 142°58'E.

26 Jun 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) torpedoed and sank the Japanese auxiliary gunboat Kamitsu Maru (2721 GRT) and the Japanese merchant cargo ship Eikan Maru (6903 GRT) about 7 nautical miles from Todozaki, Honshu, Japan in position 39°25'N, 142°04'E.

28 Jul 1945
USS Parche (Lt.Cdr. W.W. McCrory) ended her 6th war patrol at Pearl Harbor.
