While operating near Landsort, Sweden, at 0829 hours, ShCh-406 attacks a convoy with two merchants escorted by the Swedish destroyer Norrköpping and the Swedish auxiliary patrol vessel Kaparen. Two torpedoes were fired against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of 8000 GRT. Both torpedoes missed their target. As a result of the attack both Swedish escorts dropped depth charges.
7 Jul 1942
At 1428 hours, ShCh-408 attacks a convoy and fires one torpedo against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of 6000 GRT. The torpedo missed the target.
8 Jul 1942
At 2328 hours, ShCh-406 torpedoes and damages the German sailing vessel Fides (545 GRT, former Finnish Madare) east-south-east of Oxelösund, Sweden in position 58º36'E, 17º25'E. The Fides remained afloat due to its cargo, wood. (see map)

Around 1330 hours, ShCh-406 attacks a convoy and fires two torpedoes. The Swedish merchant Bele (1237 GRT) was missed.

At 1237 hours, while in the Aland Sea, ShCh-406 fires two torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of 8000 GRT with four escorts. Both torpedoes missed their target.

While operating north of Danzig Bay, ShCh-406 torpedoes and sinks the fishing vessel Mercator (119 GRT).
28 Oct 1942
At 1608 hours, ShCh-406 fires a torpedo against the small German merchant Thyland (243 GRT) off Stilo, Poland. The torpedo missed it's target.
At 2319 hours, ShCh-406 fires 2 torpedoes against the Swedish merchant Bengt Sture (872 GRT). Both torpedoes missed their target.
28 Oct 1942
At 0030 hours, ShCh-406 again fires 2 torpedoes against the Swedish merchant Bengt Sture (872 GRT). This time the ship is hit and sinks about 15 nautical miles north-west of the Stilo lighthouse in position 54º58'N, 17º26'E. (see map)

At 0845 hours, ShCh-406 torpedoes and sinks the Finnish merchant Agnes (2983 GRT) north of Rixhöft.
