History

Baltic fleet.

Left base on 11 October 1941. Believed mined and sunk off Suursaari between 12-14 October 1941. S-8's wreck was however found in 1999 in position 56º10'7"N, 16º39'8"E. All 48 members of her crew went down with the ship.
