Baltic fleet.

Most likely lost on or after 1 August 1943 north off Naissaar Island. Possibly due to mines of the Nashorn minefield. All hands (46 men) lost.

30 Sep 1942
S-12 fires torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a German Schlesien-class battleship off Klaipeda, Lithuania. S-12 claimed a sinking. In reality a small German auxiliary minesweeper was attacked but missed !!!

5 Oct 1942
S-12 fires two torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of 8000 tons off Libau. The torpedoes missed their target.

6 Oct 1942
S-12 fires four torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant south-west of Klaipeda, Lithuania. The torpedoes missed and the target was engaged with gunfire but was not hit. The ship attacked was the small German auxiliary patrol vessel V 1707 / Viking IV.

21 Oct 1942
S-12 torpedoes and damages the German merchant Sabine Howald (5956 GRT) about 10 nautical miles south-south-west of Libau in position 56º21'N, 20º55'E. (see map)

27 Oct 1942
S-12 torpedoes and damages the German merchant Malgache (former French, 6903 GRT) about 20 nautical miles north of Libau in position 56º52'N, 20º59'E. The Malgache is grounded to prevent her from sinking and later salvaged. The Swedish merchant Gordias (1632 BRT) is missed in the same attack. (see map)
