History	Reclassified as DDR-711 on 18 July 1952. Reverted back to DD-711 on 15 March 1963. Decommissioned 31 August 1972 and loaned to Spain being renamed Churruca (D61). Stricken 2 June 1975. Sold to Spain 17 May 1978. Churruca was stricken by Spain 15 September 1989. Used for target practice and sunk by the Spanish Navy on 12 December 1991. See also this website (offsite link).
