General Events during this patrol

1941

3 Mar 1941. U-124 refuelled from the German supply ship Charlotte Schliemann at Las Palmas, Spain.

22 Mar 1941. On U-124, both diesel engines were damaged and inoperable. The crew worked for five (!) days at sea in the Atlantic to repair them.

3 Apr 1941. U-124 aided three survivors from the Umona, which she had sunk three days before, giving them water, bread, and a bottle of cognac.

7 Apr 1941. After sinking the Portadoc, U-124 provided the survivors with drinking water.
