Attacks on U-550 during this patrol

22 Feb 1944
A Catalina aircraft (RCAF Sqdn 162/S, pilot Flying Officer C. C. Cunningham) attacked her with machine guns and 4 depth charges in the North Atlantic. Two crew members were killed. The boat was lost on the same patrol on 16 April. (Sources: Blair, vol 2, page 560, )
