Attacks on U-382 during this patrol
11 Jan 1944
In action against convoys ON 64 and KMS 38 U-382 attacked an escort with a T-5 homing torpedo but missed. She was then attacked and severely damaged causing her to abort her attack. (Sources: Blair, vol 2, page 490)
13 Jan 1944
U-382, aborting her convoy attack only 2 days later, was attacked by destroyers of the Block Island hunter-killer group but escaped the trap and reached St. Nazaire on Jan 26. (Sources: Blair, vol 2, page 491)
