Scuttled on 5 May, 1945 in Gelting Bay, after being bombed. Broken up in 1948.

Renamed S 2 after being transferred to Italy in exchange for transport vessels. Reverted to Germany as U-746 after the Italian capitulation.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-746 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
